Endoscopic
Endoscopic Aesthetic Surgery is a relatively new field in our specialty. It’s assisted with the use of a lighted video camera which is introduced through a minimal incision. We use this technology especially in two corporal areas, where it has proven maximum usefulness, the Face and Breasts.
On breast surgery, we use the endoscope to assist, when doing transaxillary breast augmentation, to develop the pocket where the implant will be finally placed, increasing accuracy during dissection.
Besides reducing scars, endoscopic surgery reduces complication rates and recovery time due to diminished trauma caused to tissues.
